Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how SVAP Technologies LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use IdeaCoin (the "Service"). We try to keep this short and readable. If anything is unclear, email info@getideacoin.com.

1. What we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Account information: When you sign up or join the waitlist, we collect your email address. If you sign in with Google, we also receive your name and profile information from Google.

Listings and content: When you list an idea, we store the title, category, preview, full content, license type, and price you set.

Transaction information: When you buy or sell, we store the transaction details (which idea, which buyer, when, amount paid). Payment is handled by Stripe, Inc. Your full card number, expiration, and CVV are sent directly to Stripe and are not stored on our servers. We receive a transaction ID, the last four digits of your card, the card brand, and the country of issuance — used for receipts, accounting, and fraud prevention.

Creator payout information: If you list ideas for sale and become eligible for payouts, Stripe Connect collects additional information directly from you for identity verification (KYC), including your legal name, date of birth, residential address, and tax identification number (e.g., SSN or EIN). This information is held by Stripe in compliance with financial regulations; we receive only confirmation that verification is complete and the status of payouts.

Usage and device information: Like most websites, we automatically collect IP address, browser type, operating system, referring page, and pages viewed. We use this for security, debugging, and improving the Service.

Communications: If you email us, we keep a record of the correspondence.

2. How we use it

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Service;
• Authenticate your account and process transactions;
• Send transactional emails about your listings, purchases, account, and changes to our policies;
• Send marketing emails about new listings or features (you can unsubscribe at any time via the link in those emails);
• Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security risks;
• Comply with legal obligations;
• Resolve disputes and enforce our Terms.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following categories of recipients, and only as needed to operate the Service:

Service providers we rely on to run IdeaCoin, including:

• Supabase — database hosting and authentication
• Vercel — website hosting and analytics
• Google — if you choose to sign in with Google
• Email service providers — for delivering authentication and transactional emails
• Stripe, Inc. — for processing purchases, payouts to Creators, and managing payment-related fraud prevention. Stripe collects and processes card and banking information directly; we do not store your full card or bank account numbers on our servers. For Creators, Stripe collects identity verification information (KYC), such as legal name, date of birth, address, and tax identification numbers, as required by financial regulations. Stripe's privacy practices are governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy (available at stripe.com/privacy).

These providers process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.

Other users: When you list an idea, your display name and the listing's public preview are visible to other users. Buyers and Creators see each other's display names in connection with their shared transactions. Your email address is not shown publicly.

Legal and safety: We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or valid legal request, or when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

Business transfers: If IdeaCoin is acquired, merged, or sells assets, your information may transfer to the new owner, subject to this Policy.

4. How long we keep it

We retain your information as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. After you close your account, we retain:

• Transaction records for at least seven (7) years for tax, accounting, and legal compliance;
• Basic account records (email, account creation date) for up to two years for fraud prevention;
• Listings purchased by other users — these remain accessible to the Buyers who purchased them, with your name as Creator displayed.

You can request deletion of your data at any time (see "Your rights" below), subject to legal retention requirements.

5. Cookies and tracking

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and ensure the Service works correctly. We may use limited analytics (provided by Vercel) to understand aggregate usage patterns — this is privacy-preserving and does not track individuals across sites.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies or build behavioral advertising profiles.

6. Your rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: Request a copy of the information we hold about you;
• Correction: Update inaccurate information (most can be edited directly in your account);
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to legal retention requirements;
• Opt-out of marketing: Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in the email;
• Data portability: Receive your data in a portable format.

7. California residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you specific rights:

• The right to know what personal information we collect, use, and share;
• The right to delete personal information we collected;
• The right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information);
• The right not to be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights.

8. Children

IdeaCoin is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. International users

IdeaCoin is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

10. Security

We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure; if we discover a breach affecting your information, we'll notify you as required by law.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you via email or a prominent notice on the Service. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
